Larry Franklin Fiddler / Instrumentalist

Born into a family of legendary Texas Fiddlers, Larry began playing fiddle when he was seven years old.  His Father Louis Franklin and Great Uncle Major Franklin were seldom recorded but vastly influential fiddlers in the Texas fiddle style that has become the national "contest" style heard everywhere today. Following in their footsteps, Larry was winning most of the major fiddle contests while still in his teens and evolved into the all around musician he is today. After performing with the Cooder Browne Band(1976-79), the Larry Franklin Band(1980-84), Asleep at the Wheel(1984-91) and Pam Tillis’s Band(1993), Larry began his recording career in Nashville and has recorded with some of the Top Singers, Producers, Writers and Musicians while playing on many hit records along the way.

Also a former member of the Supergroup “The Time Jumpers” (2010 - 2023)
